Tuesday: Help crowdsource social change with social media!

Join us this Tuesday evening for September Net Tuesday, Crowdsourcing Change: Applied Use of the Social Web!

Each presenter will show their website and share their objectives. Then the crowd (that’s you!) will participate in a facilitated discussion about how various social web tools and strategies might help them achieve their objectives. It’s a fun format for learning, sharing and potentially making a significant contribution to a couple of important causes.

  • For nonprofit staffers and activists, this is a great way to see how other organizations are using the social web, and share some of your own experiences.
  • For techies, you’ll get real-world case studies of how nonprofits are using technology, and have a chance to share your expertise — and business cards.

Our two featured projects for September are the Patch Adams Free Clinic of Philadelphia and Generocity.

Additionally, every person who attends will have the chance to win a free pass to SocialMediaPlus, a business summit for social media.

Learn more and get directions to the event, or view the event on Facebook or on Meetup. For those who can’t make it in person, as always, we’ll begin broadcasting the event live on the web at 6:30 PM.
